Transporation
The Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) is closest to our lodging suggestions in Pasadena, ceremony and reception venues in Alhambra, and our home in Eagle Rock. It's large enough to have direct flights to most cities and car rental options, and also on the smaller side, which can make for a better experience overall in terms of ease to get through security, etc.
If you're planning to make a longer trip for the holiday weekend and spend some time at the beach, you may want to consider coming in and out of LAX. Traffic can make the trip from LAX to the San Gabriel Valley pretty lengthy.
Accommodations
If you're interested in using AirBnB or VRBO for lodging, we recommend searching for options in Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena or in the neighborhoods close to our home in the Northeast LA area, like Eagle Rock and Highland Park. Downtown LA is relatively close as well for LA. If you have any location questions, let us know!
A beautiful and luxurious hotel near our venues is the Langham in South Pasadena. They don't have group rates, but there are discounts for booking 60 days or 30 days in advance.
We've placed courtesy holds for rooms at three hotels in the Pasadena area for the nights of July 1 and 2, which are just north of Alhambra: the Westin Pasadena; Marriot Residence Inn - Pasadena Old Town; and Courtyard by Marriot - Pasadena Old Town. Please let us know if you plan to book a room at one of these hotels, so we can make sure there enough rooms held for our party.
